About me
I started work in rep at Leatherhead in the 70's as acting ASM. Since then I have worked in rep at Derby Worthing, Chester and Windsor. I did a lot of comedy TV for LWT in the 80's, 'Hale and Pace' Robin's nest'etc films for BBC including 'balltrap on the Cote Sauvage for Jack Gold. I was in three seasons at Chichester Festival theatre , as well as fringe productions for 'The Farndale Ladies', Recreation Ground Theatre Co., ,The Almost Free Theatre for Ed Berman,West End work includes Stoppard's 'Dirty Linen' at the Arts Theatre, and three years in 'Crazy For You' at the Prince Edward'Additional skills:
I dance (contemporary and tap) and sing - mezzo) I can juggle a bit, play piano and strum a uke. I speak good French and some Spanish. I have a Devon accent ( I played Lizzie Ridd in BBC radio's 'Lorna Doone) as well as standard RP . I keep geese and hens! I love comedy, Shakespeare and Pinter.
Additional information:
Because of family commitments and a child with disability I have worked a lot less over the last 10 years, although I toured in a 2 hander 'Boy from Bosnia' for S E Arts, and played 'Anath'in 'The Firstborn' for a celebration of Christopher Fry at Chichester Minerva theatre . I am also involved as narrator in 'Singing to Survive' , a concert celebrating the women prisoners in Sumatra during WW2 .We are hoping to tour this following 2 sell out concerts in Chichester this year. over the last 2 years I have been working for a new company DWP productions, touring mainly along the South coast. I have been in a new one woman play 'Poisoned beds' (about the oyster industry in Emsworth, as well as a two hander ' The Odds of Being Earnest' both written by Greg Mosse and very successful. As well as this I regularly perform historic monologues at the Weald and Downland Living Museum' in Singleton, West Sussex. I have recently done an online commercial for funeral planning.
