Additional Information
I learnt a huge amount on my course and I feel it has set me up with the skills I need. The most exciting thing for me was learning to really interrogate and become immersed in a character through research, a skill I hope to utilise now in my ongoing career. I am now part of the Actor’s club to continue my professional development. I discovered a love for acting when I was child doing school plays. I acted throughout school both at school and in young theatre companies including The Oxford Playhouse young company. I then went to university and was heavily involved in student theatre. After graduating University I was involved in a number of professional productions in Brighton before going on to study at East 15.
About me
I completed my training at East 15 Acting School in 2017. A particularly useful casting for me is in teenage roles because I am very petite and have a young look. However, I am very versatile and have taken on a fantastic variety of roles since graduating. I have both a good stage and screen presence and a truthful, naturalistic acting style making me very castable, I am also a very strong comic actress with a real instinct for comedy. I am also a member of the actor’s club and attend regular workshops and participate in projects. Through the actor's club I have been able to perform at the Southwark Playhouse a number of time, on one occasion performing my own writing. I have also taken part in a number of video projects during lock down. This summer I appeared as Dromio of Syracuse in The Comedy of Errors for Bedford fringe at The Place theatre, the same production was on again at The Attic theatre in Stratford Upon Avon in November. I also took a one woman show, ‘The Dimlight Hours’, that I was part of creating to Edinburgh fringe for a successful run. I had the pleasure of taking on a supernumerary role in Network at The National Theatre which was incredibly exciting. I played a 17 year old, Hayley, in Nora, an award winning short, that was screened at the BFI for a TED conference last summer and that has done extremely well in the festival circuit. I also appeared as Hermia in a production of Midsummer Night’s Dream and played Mark Antony in a production of Julius Caesar in the only original Roman Theatre in the UK last September. 'Six of One' a show I was part of creating and devising from scratch did a successful run at Camden Fringe in the summer. Car Keys, a short film I appeared in alongside Robert Daws and Linda Armstrong is in post production and promises to tour festivals later in the year. 'Princess in the Castle', a feature I starred in was premiered at Edinburgh Fringe 2019 and is now available on Amazon Prime . I have also recently started devising a theatre piece and received some funding. Angelikes the pilot is also available on Amazon prime. Car Keys is in post production and will be touring festivals shortly.
