Additional Information
I am a writer and presenter with several BBC radio documentaries to my credit, including a programme built around an interview with legendary singer, Tony Bennett. In recent years I have also fronted my own comedy podcast and co-host of 'The Berkshire Business Podcast'. I also perform occasional stand up comedy routines in the guise of my alter-ego, Ben Bernard.
About me
I am an actor and voice artist with a great love for radio comedy. I have stepped into the shoes of my hero Peter Sellers for two tours of ‘The Goon Show’ and then as Spike Milligan and Bernard Miles opposite Jeffrey Holland in a special production celebrating Spike's centenary. I also took on roles destined for Peter Sellers and Kenneth Connor in the world premieres of Larry Stephens’ ‘Vacant Lot’,an unmade pilot show written for Tony Hancock. In 2016 I appeared as Charlie, an assassin's boss, in the award winning short film 'Dead Meet' (Directed by Daniel J. Brant).
My voice-over work includes an immersive exhibition 'Titanic and Liverpool', playing Joseph Boxhall, a national TV campaign for YOPA, plus a collection of ‘Shakespeare Children's Stories’ and the 2015 Chamber Opera 'Breathe Freely'. I have over twenty years experience as a broadcaster and teach an 'Introduction to Radio' at the Bridge Theatre Training Company in London.
I work as a Supporting Artiste for film and television, including 'The Crown', 'Downton Abbey' and as a bewigged clerk in the OSCAR festooned ‘Darkest Hour’. This gives me an amazing opportunity to practice my craft and learn from watching the directors and technicians at work.
