About me
Since 2005 I have consistently performed in a variety of roles and productions, firstly during my time at the University of Manchester's drama society and in the two years since professionally. This has included supporting and leading roles in many plays, compere of a comedy night, performing material from a Victorian clown's gag book at the Blackpool Grand Theatre and several productions at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. I have performed in a musical and a pantomime and have always attempted to take on as wide a range of roles as possible. I feel for my age I have gained a vast amount of experience in different roles and different venues.
As well as my acting, I have ran quiz nights in pubs across the North West throughout the last four years and as a result feel confident in my voice and ability to speak in front of a crowd. I feel this would be useful for voice over auditions.
I won the 2004 English Speaking Union Merseyside Personality of the Year for my performance in a series of debates.
I have written short plays and sketches over the last 8 years.
I have lots of experience with young children. I led a community church drama group between the ages of 15 and 17. I coached a young person's football team along with my dad between the ages of 16 and 20. I was involved with a children's drama club in Edinburgh in 2006 as part of Johnny Miller Presents and performed in a children's musical (Beowulf) in 2007. in 2010 I wrote a play for young people as part of Action Transport Theatre's 'Four For The Port', I also acted in this project. I have developed my writing over the last couple of years and produced a comic murder mystery performance in association with Theatre By Numbers that has been bought by hotels and restaurants around the North West. All this work included lots of interaction with young people.
