The Vicious Dead - March to Oct - I play Theo. What I love about this project is the gripping suspense, wild thrills and 'in your face' dialogue, all the ingredients to make a soon to be cult horror classic. The commitment and imagination from the cast and crew has made the experience a very highly regarded professional level. Week after week this independent project has grown a strength and web buzz that can only lead to success. I enjoyed the depth of my character's scenes and help the director where I could when it came to shots a more fluid flow of the words.
Perfect, I am - Oct 2011 - The character I portray suffers from schizophrenia and after he kills his third victim an apparition of her ghost haunts him and plays on his conscience. This film took 3 weeks to film but felt like I was living this character for Months, he has a loner personality which is reflected in the film by his lack of social behavior. I took this role head on, displaying the character naked as he describes being naked is being perfect. With long takes for the scenes and the feeling of an uncomfortable 3rd person in the room the end piece is my most proud to date.
The Tightening of the Rope - March/April 2011 - The story is focused on two best friends David and James who both fall in love with the same girl Betty which eventually tears the relationship apart, set during WW1, they are both drafted in the army so they're unable to resolve there feelings, James however decides to take a cowardly way out of war and shoots himself so he can return home to be with Betty. This was an amazing production to be a part of and I was able to explore my acting in the care and devotion towards friendship, love and betrayal.
The Last Soldier - Nov 2010 - The existential journey of a British soldier during WW2, I portray the soldier, he wakes up from being washed up on a beach after the Russians have attacked with chemical warfare and attempts to find his way home only to be over come by the poison in the air and die before he makes it back. A fantastic shoot which allowed me to explore the emotions of fear and the excepting of death
No, You Did - April 2010 - I portrayed Steve, a devoted father who nearly loses his son when he runs out into the road, his son Andrew is saved by the lead Zoe and after interacting with her he discovers that her boyfriend is sleeping with his wife. This was difficult for me because I'd had very little experience working with children and had to show my raised emotions of seeing my son come close to death.
