    About me

Simon Robins is a Birmingham/London-based actor. This tenacious individual has advanced his craft through training courses, a two year diploma and ultimately a Masters Degree in Acting at the prestigious East 15 drama school. As a uniquely driven, empathetic method actor and voice over artist, he has an array of performative skills and athletic abilities at his disposal; physical theatre, comedy improv, writing and devising for theatre and screen plays; stage combat qualified and weapons training(blank firing handguns/shotguns, rapiers, broadswords etc) ;martial arts- Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, some boxing and various sporting capabilities such as weight lifting, swimming, skiing and snowboarding.

***His notable talents include his ability to hyperfocus on something and learn vast amounts of information about it in a short space of time. When applied to Acting, this skill enables him to memorise large amounts of script and combined with his muscle memory, he can learn movement/fight/dance choreography with impressive speed and efficiency.

Simon has experienced and excelled in many different working environments ranging from construction to the military to welding. He has spent the last three years bringing life to an array of challenging roles; Mickey, a cruel and twisted mercenary in the critically acclaimed ‘Passion for Birmingham' produced by The Old Joint Stock Theatre in Birmingham; 'Andy' a caring yet mercurial, volatile and manipulative husband in Alan Ayckbourn's renowned 'Woman in Mind' and his recent writing debut with the help of 'Seventh Sense theatre company', the sold out production: 'Memory soldier' at Camden Fringe Festival in which he also played 'Sgt Stephen Saunders', a conflicted, strong yet gentle soldier trying desperately to curb the effects, his comrades PTSD is having on his family.

Simon will to continue pushing his career forwards this year by engaging in exciting, gritty drama and playful comedy, capitalising on opportunities to work with equally driven, daring artists.
