About me
I am always hardworking and willing to go above and beyond to achieve the highest standards. I work well in a team, giving encouragement when needed whilst also taking on other opinions. I believe I will be a good addition to any work force for any project, as I relish new opportunities and strive to add that extra element that will make a production sing.Since finishing my degree, unfortunately I have had to take things slow due to a hip complaint which was finally resolved via surgery in Feb 2014. I am now completely fit and raring to begin my career in the costume industry, which is where I see my future.

Additional information:
I am highly competent with machine and hand sewing. I love a technical challenge, where problems need to be intelligently and methodically worked out, to create a flawless yet beautiful outcome. I work well under pressure, especially where deadlines are concerned. I have skills within all areas of costume, such as: pattern cutting, costume construction, costume design, breakdown artistry, corsetry, textiles, embroidery, restoration, bead work and leather work. My most notable works whilst at University include a hand printed lycra bodysuit and Naval jacket in my first year. An extravagantly beautiful Star Wars interpretation in my second year. Technical silk and leather costumes for a Man and Elf from J.R.R Tolkien’s The Silmarillion in my third year.
I adore watching any costume drama, being able to revel in the splendour of the fabrics and techniques revealed on the stage or screen. I have a sister who takes part in Napoleonic and Regency Re-enactment, so I am always charged with making her outfits, but have yet had the chance to take part myself. I enjoy any new adventure from hiking up the nearest mountain to snorkelling with the fish on the Great Barrier Reef. Place a good book in front of me and I can spend hours lost in its pages.
