About me
Bristol university Graduate in B.A.Drama: Theatre, Film and Television. Young professional Theatre director with a particular passion for new writing and LGBT+ theatre. My interests in the artistic and creative elements of theatre-making can also be found to thrive in other production elements such as marketing and stage management. I have gained a vast amount of experience during my university career in these areas and specialised in directing much of my own work and student-led collaboration. Further afield, I have been an assistant stage manager for professional theatre companies/ theatres such as the Tobacco factory Bristol and have successfully carried myself through the Edinburgh Fringe festival this year with a graduate production. I aim to now turn my focus to London where I hope to work with some of the greatest theatre-makers and new writers today and expand heavily on my directing career. I seek to create and direct work with other emerging artists and companies.Additional skills:
My skills are vast and varied. I have directed my own productions before and cherish the experience found between an actor and director in creating fantastic theatre.
- working one on one or in groups with actors
- developing relationships
- exploring different avenues
- research lead methods
- organising and planning rehearsals
- deploying an overall artistic vision over the entire production
- communicating effectively with production teams
In addition to this, I have successfully produced and marketed several productions in which I have strategically developed and managed finances and budgets, rights, venues, contracts, programing, tickets, set, designed paper marketing (posters, flyers), directed cinematography (trailers), and designed websites. I have other experience in production roles such as executive producing, assistant stage managing and set designing.
Industry awards:
while I have no 'professional' industry awards as of yet, I have countless student recognition in the theatre that I have been a part of.
Referees:
Thomas Attwood, Artistic Director of The AC Group, removed
Ria Mincks, Free lance Production Manager, removed
Jennifer Morgan, Free Lance Stage Manager, worked with at the Tobacco factory, Bristol 0 removed
Peter Chicken, University Graduate, Producer at Edinburgh Fringe 2016
Additional information:
While I have found that I do prefer to be a director in theatre, I have an extensive amount of acting and movement experience that I would love to build on as well.
Even though the theatre is my main interest career wise, I am of course also open to film and television work.
If you would like to know any other information about myself please feel free to contact me directly.
