About me

For the past two years I have held the position of general manager and in-house producer for The Canal Cafe Theatre in Little Venice. This has been a broad management role with both creative and administrative responsibilities, including but not limited to: theatre programming, accounts and budgeting for both the theatre overall and individual projects, contracts, PR and marketing, production development and staff recruitment. We run an extremely varied programme of comedy, theatre and new writing, with up to 10 different shows a week.

Aside from my Canal Cafe role, I have been working as a freelance producer. I've built up a significant portfolio of production experience dealing in the main with live events. These range from comedy evenings to fundraisers, one-off screenings and longer-running theatrical productions. I have a real passion for and interest in comedy, cabaret and live performance and extensive festival experience as a producer in Edinburgh. This August I produced or co-produced eight different shows in a range of venues.

In March this year I also spent a month working with Prospero as a PR for the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and was jointly responsible for press for fourteen acts. As a freelancer, I have run several full press campaigns for productions taking place in London, Bristol and Edinburgh.

I am also the executive producer for Rogues' Gallery Theatre company, a collective that was established to promote and support up-and-coming theatrical talent. We have produced a number of full-length productions and also run a monthly new writing night called 'Rogue Writers'.
Additional skills:
Proficient with Microsoft Office (in particular word and excel). Have experience with accounting and running budgets, formulas and reconciliations with excel.
