About me
Having been lucky enough to had the experience of working in the TV and Advertising industry for 8 years in a number of different roles; these different jobs have given me the imperative knowledge of how to work in large professional crews as well as assume the roles of Director, D.O.P and editor in small and personal projects where I have had to communicate with everyone individually to gain the desired outcome for the shoot. I have worked as set Production assistant and as an art department assistant on many commercials (Land Rover, M&S, Homebase etc) and on the last series of skins which was shot in 2014. My experience of working with both large and small crews has allowed me to become confident in my aspirations and work.I was recently employed at the award winning post production company, The Framestore as a technician after finishing my three years at university. Having had the chance to pitch ideas to the production company within Framestore (Framestore Pictures) and being asked to film internal promotional videos for the company, has boosted my ambitions and confidence to reach for more prosperous goals. These opportunities as well as making my own small films, in which I have created the concept, prepped and filmed and then edited myself, have all given me key skills in an ever competitive industry. Having worked at The Framestore for over a year has also given me the imperative knowledge of how post production works, it has also made me realise that my passion for film is on live set where I feel much more at home. So I have decided to use my previous experience to get back into working on set and get the knowledge to eventually have the experience to work as a 1st AD or Director. Being a young man with eagerness to constantly learn and adapt to my surroundings, I think that this position would allow me and the crew that I work with to flourish, and develop some extraordinary commercials/TV series and Films that will grasp the public and create rifts throughout the industry.
