About me
I have worked in the entertainment industry since July 2018 after leaving my first career as a railway rolling stock engineer with a specialism in electrical systems to follow my passion for theatre and live music.Since joining the entertainment industry, I have worked predominantly as a lighting technician although I am working hard to further develop my lighting design portfolio and as such I am currently studying for an MA in performance design alongside my professional work.
My skillset as a lighting technician includes power and data distribution as a dimmer tech, programming Avolites and Eos consoles, working with LED tape and associated systems for practical lighting and as a general lighting tech.
My main skillset as a lighting designer is predominantly designing naturalistic lighting for plays and working with bands; although I have worked on a diverse range of productions including dance, musicals and architectural lighting.
Additional skills:
As well as my work as a lighting technician, I often work as a site electrician with experience of both installed and generator fed systems. I hold C&G2382:2018, NA7909 and C&G2391-52 qualifications.
I feel comfortable working at height from ladders, work access platforms (such as tallescopes or scaffold towers), powered access equipment or from work positioning equipment on both ground supported and suspended truss structures.
I have been driving for 10 years (Cat B license) and I am comfortable driving a range of vehicles up to long wheel base vans.
I have skills in basic sound and video. I know QLab for both sound and video to a reasonable standard. I have also stage-managed small spaces.

- Megger MFT1741 with test leads suitable for testing 13a, 16a, 32a and 63a single phase ceeform connectors; 32a, 63a and 125a three phase ceeform connectors; and fly-leads.
- Avolites Titan Mobile and suitable laptop with network adaptor to interface to sACN / Artnet nodes
- Full body work positioning harness and accessories.
