About me

My name is Chris Gayne, I am a BAFTA nominated an experienced freelance sound recordist and sound designer. I love film and I love making films. I graduated from Edinburgh University with a 1st in Film and TV specialising in Sound recording & Sound design. I have 4 years industry experience working across feature film, documentary, broadcast, commercial, online promo and corporate. I have had the privilege to work with some great clients and production companies as well as some very talented directors. I am comfortable working with high profile talent and contributors.I have worked with British royal family to the muppets and actors such as Gary Lewis (Gangs of New York, Billy Elliot), Ewen Bremnar (Trainspotting, Pearl Harbour) and award winning director Iciar Bollain. I have worked with all major UK boradcasters such as BBC, CH4,CH5, ITV and more and have worked for high profile clients in my commercial and promo work such as Santander, O2, Heineken, Lloyds Bank, M&S, MAC, ASOS, Bank of Scotland and many more. Additional information:
I love the creativity that can be explored in post production sound design and being able to tell an narrative sonically, as well as bring a directors vision to life through sound that compliments and enhances the pictures. I also love to travel and have a keen interest in natural history and one of my career goals would be to work on wildlife documentary content.

I am a keen climber and guitar player although I'm still learning the ropes, literally! I am keen to explore new areas of London and meet some new people to develop lasting business and personal relationships.
