About me
One of the things I find most appealing about Stage Management is the opportunity to experience working with different professional organisations on such contrasting productions and venues. I have been lucky enough to take on stage management roles with Crossroads Pantomimes at The Alhambra, Bradford, with Wexford Festival Opera at the National Opera House, Wexford, and with Histrionic Productions on an outdoor immersive performance at Blenheim Palace. In addition, I have worked at the Bloomsbury Festival in London and with RABBLE Theatre Company in Reading. These roles and diverse venues have required me to have an extensive range of skills and understanding of Stage Management that my training in Technical Theatre and Stage Management from RADA developed in me. During my time there I took on multiple roles as Stage Manager, DSM, ASM and ASM Book Cover. Each role was hands on and provided me with a clear insight into the demands of the role within the industry. My time at RADA and all my subsequent work have allowed me to continue to develop many different strengths. I have gained invaluable insight into the essential components for the smooth running of a performance with the highest possible production values and professionalism. I am used to working on my own initiative, whilst still being an essential part of a small but committed team and I understand the need to be adaptable whilst achieving immovable deadlines. I have honed my communication skills through working with different companies, directors, and designers, and am therefore used to managing and motivating people from a range of backgrounds, experiences, and ages. My most recent job in pantomime has also expanded my technical skills into new areas, such as flying Foys, Kinesys automation, live magic and working with live animals. As someone who is always keen to learn more, it has been an exceptional experience. I hope, though, that with everything I undertake, I do so with an excellent sense of fun, humour and sensitivity.
