About me
Derek Harrington BioDerek entered the industry in 1978 was Third Assistant Director on The Empire Strikes Back, Barbra Streisand’s Yentl, (OMEN 3) The Final Conflict, and The Missionary directed by Richard Loncraine. Credited on Dick Clements’s Bullshot, Terry Gilliam’s The Meaning of Life and Return to Oz for Disneyfilm.
Several years working in commercials as First Assistant Director including productions in USA and Europe for leading light directors including Lester Bookbinder and Gerard De Thame.
More recently extensive Location Manager Work for directors Jonathan Glazer (Sexy Beast), Peter Richardson The Comic Strip, Stella Street TV series and Movie and Churchill The Hollywood Years, John Badham (Saturday Night Fever) and Incognito, Haunted for Lewis Gilbert (Educating Rita and two Bond films) with James Bond Producer Bill Cartlidge.
Derek has also produced in excess of twenty Infomercial type projects and TV and cinema commercials. Was credited with thanks on Street Fighter Assassins Fist Web Series.
And have produced several public information type films for MGI Direct TV.
