About me
Upon graduating in 2017 with a BA in Fashion Design and a background in Fine Art, I was unsure about which direction to take my craft. I spent 5 months in 2018 as a Design/General Intern for a Manchester-based clothing brand - my design skills were strengthened but I ultimately realised that the industry may not be for me and I decided to pursue my long-standing interest of working in Theatre, specifically in Wardrobe. As a creative practitioner, I am largely inspired by my love of historical dress and aesthetic and love to combine this with elements of contemporary and live performance, which seemed like a natural fit for theatre/TV. Since December 2018 I have been working for The Ambassador Theatre Group in Manchester in Wardrobe Maintenance and as a Dresser and have grown to love it in a short space of time. I myself am a keen musician, writer and performer – I love the energy of working towards a deadline that facilitates performances such as opera, theatre and live music and thrive from the energetic pace of working as a team, made of both crew and cast, to execute something beautiful and enlightening. Though I have learnt so much already, I am really keen to expand on this experience and committed to building a career in Wardrobe.Additional skills:
