About me
A senior programme maker with years of experience delivering high-profile studio shows and live broadcasts on location. As Deputy Editor and Senior Editor on The One Show I led a large team working daily across a huge variety of content, from current affairs to consumer, specialist factual to entertainment.
As Series Editor on the Steph Show I was responsible for launching and showrunning the UK’s first new live show in lockdown, broadcast remotely from the presenter, Steph McGovern’s, house during the Covid 19 pandemic.
I have successfully auditioned and cast new talent as well as working with some of the biggest names in broadcasting, including Chris Evans, Matt Baker, Alex Jones, Adrian Chiles, Christine Lampard, Steph McGovern, Rylan Clark-Neal, Nick Grimshaw, Michael Ball, Zoe Ball, Patrick Kielty, Joe Lycett, Dara O’Briain, Prof Brian Cox – and many, many more…
I thrive on producing creative and ambitious ideas, telling great stories and bringing information to viewers in as entertaining a way as possible. I lead teams of all sizes, inspiring them to solve problems and produce exceptional content.

Jo Street – Head of Daytime, Channel 4
“Elliot has the all the qualities you could wish for in a senior creative leader. He is a trusted & innovative programme maker and resilient beyond measure. He led a tiny team which turned around 30 live, daily lockdown shows with only 10 days pre-production, managing that entirely new team remotely. It was a feat of logistics as well as creativity and I am in awe of what was achieved and the professionalism it took to pull it off. His CV will speak for itself - years of experience honing his editorial skills, dealing with presenters, celebrity guests, ever changing priorities & challenging budgets but I feel it’s his passion for ideas & how to execute them which is his defining quality.”
Jayne Stanger – Commissioning Editor - Daytime, Channel 4
“Elliot is a highly experienced and creative programme maker. He launched a new daily live show during lockdown, with only days of pre-production and managing a whole team remotely who were based in all areas of the country. With overwhelming logistic challenges, he and the team delivered amazing shows every day. His ability to see the big picture and oversee all areas of production was an important part of what it took to pull this off. However, it is his creativity and ability to execute ideas in bold and exciting ways that really stood out.”
Ben Wicks – Executive Producer, Expectation Entertainment
“Elliot was given what must count as one of the toughest jobs in television. To turn around a live daily hour-long show at the height of a global pandemic when everyone was confined to their homes. What he achieved was nothing short of a miracle, because what is more, he only had a week to do it all in.
The show was a real success, winning critical acclaim, rave reviews from the powers-that-be at Channel 4, and pulling in audiences in greater volume than the slot averages.
Elliot worked with mind-blowing levels of skill, diligence and efficiency to do that in record time. To lead a team zooming in from every corner of Britain and to get them to work together to create 30 hours of television over a six-week period with only one week's prep has to be a landmark achievement.
Elliot brought military precision, superb organisation skills and tremendous editorial judgement. Most of all though, Elliot is an ideas machine. The ideas he threw in were up there with the best I've seen, and the speed with which he'd concoct them was remarkable. It was an absolute pleasure to witness how quickly his brain works when the tectonic plates of the show shift at the last moment. If a guest pulled out, or an item fell through, Elliot with lightening quick pace and spellbinding ingenuity would instantly come up with a solution which often left the show in a stronger position than before.
For a show to sing you need to combine forensic planning with boundless creativity - Elliot is that rare human that combines both of these things in equal measure. I couldn't recommend him more highly.
He's also great fun to work with - a trustworthy, warm, diligent, entertaining and deeply funny man.”
