About me
Through my experience in which I have been involved in the process of pre-production for theatre I understand the planning and target deadlines which are to be met to create a show. This has also meant that I can integrate with the rest of the company well and become a valuable member of the team.Whilst working in the theatre, the rehearsal stages and tech week I have built a good rapport with the cast and found it very easy to adapt and work well with new people.
I am committed to my work and can adjust quickly and easily for the production of the best wigs and make up for each different show or production to achieve and maintain designs.
I have undertaken my roles and responsibilities to the best of my ability and used my initiative whilst working on the shows when I was on my own. I have always worked to achieve high levels of health and safety whilst in pre-production and more importantly on stage and in the theatre.
I am keen to learn new skills and develop the skills that I have. I am a consistent and reliable member of the team and I have a mature approach to my work and working environment.
I have friends in London and Manchester who I could stay with if I were to be selected for employment.
Additional skills:
Make Up Artist- theatre, TV, sfx, body painting, airbrushing make up and prosthetics.
Wig Mistress- re-fronting wigs, making postiches, cleaning and maintenance of wigs, period hair styles and barbering
Referees:
Andrew Whiteoak, Head of Wigs and Make Up at the Birmingham REP Theatre.
Crew:
I am a freelance make-up artist who specialises in hair styling, wig styling, knotting, make-up, sfx, and barbering. I have worked on various sets and stages giving me a variety of knowledge of organisation and continuity.
