About me

Finbar is a filmmaker based in the UK. He studied BSc Film and Television Production at the University of York before working in London for projects including the BBC documentary series River Walks.

He currently resides in London working as a producer, director and cinematographer through his company Umbra Motion Picture Company Ltd. Umbra specialises in creative projects, serving as an outlet for Finbar’s work while also producing content for other artists including shorts and music videos. Some of Finbar’s recent projects include the short film ‘Resonance’, which he produced & directed in Los Angeles before the pandemic, and the music video ‘Metamorphosis’ for up-and-coming British hip hop artist Easy Days, which is screening at Lift-Off Global Network in March.

Finbar is currently producing a feature-length documentary which has recently secured financing after pitching at the international pitching forum Docs By The Sea in 2020. The film is shooting in Indonesia across 2021.

Alongside this, Finbar continues to work on projects with Umbra in London.
