About me
Since graduating, having studied for a BA (Hons) Costume with Textiles degree gaining a First Class with a specialism in printed and dyed textiles I have been working as a Breakdown Artist and Wardrobe Assistant. I have experience in different genres such as opera, musicals, outdoor events and stage plays and I am looking to continue developing my knowledge, working on exciting projects.Additional skills:
-Costume Making
Skilled in hand and machine sewing, including knowledge of stitch types and their appropriate application, sewing problems and solutions.
Foundation skills in flat pattern adapting and drafting and manipulating on the stand.
Costume breaking down techniques.
-Textiles
Specialism in printed textiles. Skilled in screen and transfer printing, dying using disperse, Remazols, Indigo and natural dyes as well as using Shibori techniques to create exciting, layered effects.
Discharge printing and textile monoprint techniques.
Flock and foil techniques.
Skills in digital sublimation printing and digital fabric design.
Foundation of skills in hand and machine embroidery.
Knowledge of fabric properties and their uses.

Illustration techniques and textile rendering skills with an eye for colour, texture and pattern.
CAD and Photoshop knowledge. Very good IT skills.
A creative designer, I use a wide variety of techniques and methods when drawing designs and textile surface patterns.

I have experience in working in different areas of costume such as opera, musicals, stage plays and outdoor events. I have also started working within the screen industry and recently just completed a job as the Costume Designer for a short film.
