About me
I am an experienced Runner/Driver, particularly on location for factual entertainment and reality television. I have a good knowledge of kit, am diligent with getting releases signed, will create detailed logs and keep floats and rushes safely organised. I show up fully prepared and committed to every shoot I work on; I have the versatility and willing to do any task required of me and can prioritise my time to help ensure that the shoot goes smoothly.I am just as capable in an office environment; I am confident with the full Microsoft Office suite and many other programs; I am also generally very computer literate so could quickly learn any new software should I need to. I am more than happy to reel off dozens of phone calls and emails, a skill which helped me to find, contact and book many of the locations that we used for ‘My Mate’s a Bad Date’.
I am a safe, confident driver and have held a full clean licence for over 10 years. Professionally I have driven long wheelbase vans when working on ‘The Button’ and large MPV’s while abroad for ‘Heartbreak Holiday’. Outside of work I have also driven in all kinds of environments and conditions in over 20 different countries throughout the world by participating in the Baja 4000 and Mongol Rally.
Prior to being a runner, I developed many transferrable skills which I have used to my benefit in the role. When working various roles in hospitality, I would have to work efficiently and accurately at the busiest of times, be friendly yet professional and take responsibility to ensure additional jobs were completed without disruption to standard service. As an audio-visual technician I had to be self-reliant to provide the cinema experience to various venues around the county, and was responsible for the transportation, setting up and testing of all the equipment in a short turnaround time. In addition to the skills gained from employment I have also obtained a degree in Film Production, through doing this course I gained a good understanding of the whole production process as well as the opportunity to get hands on experience and training with a variety of professional cameras and equipment.
