About me
My work sits in the realm of the body although having a presence on its own. It comes in form of accessories, fantasy objects, body adornments or garments. My practice is applicable to different creative areas such as jewellery, accessories and product design, costume design, props design. So far I worked as: Freelance Jewellery designer at The Swatch Group / Product designer at Swatch / Costume designer at Slovenian National Theatre / Propman at Slovenian national TV / Internshiped at Phoebe English while producing my own projects.
I am interested in creating body related meticulously crafted artefacts, expressing personal emotions and states of mind. I am fascinated with discarded things and the ability to see them in a different way, shaping them into artistically beautiful objects. In my work there is a constant search of a balance between thin and voluminous, delicate and wild, precious and discarded. This use of opposites tend to enhance each other, emphasising the core nature and beauty of each other. I am extremely tactile. The materials and processes play an important part. One is informing the other. The algorithm is turning. The imagination underpins the possibility of the function and the structure.
The outcome of the play is always intimate, witty, fragile and somehow romantic I believe.

Additional information:
I would like to work as a prop designer.
I have a good overview and knowledge of materials and processes: leather goods, metalwork, woodwork, horn&bone work, plastics: casting/moulding, CNC work, working on the lathe, 3d printing, soldering, textile printing, dyeing, crochet, textile manipulating, moulage, pattern making, draping.
I am good in concept developing and trend research, have a sophisticated eye for details and materials, ability to work to rigorous deadlines with high pressure and change, ability to work independently and under direction, good with supervising and directing the production.
Computer software: Illustrator great, Photoshop good, InDesign basic, Rhino beginner.
Theatre professional:
I create work that revolves around the body - It can be abstract accessories, jewellery, special costumes, props.. I have a good eye for materials ( broad skills and knowledge in different materials such as: textile, metal, plastics, wood, horn..) and a great understanding of concept developing.
The nature of my work is interdisciplinary and my practice is applicable to different creative areas. I worked a lot in the realm of fashion but on its broader content. My personal work mostly on the crossroad between fashion, art and design..
In the past, I worked as costume designer along with my fellow college Iris Kovacic on the play Kriz for Slovenian National Theatre. I as well worked as a prop buyer, garderober and stylist on different tv, commercials, movie and student productions.
I would be happy to work as Prop maker, Prop Designer or Prop Buyer as well as Special costumes designer. Or any kind of creative work that you find me suitable for...
I graduated from London College of Fashion in MA Fashion Artefact and hold a BA in Fashion and Textile Design from Faculty of Natural sciences and Engineering in Ljubljana.
I am interested in creating items connected to the body and the human. Telling stories, expressing emotions, identities and states of mind. These pieces are most often seen as poetic inventions, emotionally interactive body adornments.
Their initial function is to inspire and nurture the imagination.
I am fascinated by discarded things. I believe I possess the ability to see ordinary things in a different way, shaping them into artistically and fashionably beautiful fragile items. In my practice I combines the discarded and the valued in order to enhance each other.
I design along as I go and I get inspired by materials and hands-on studio processes. Playing is the core part of my creative practice. The play is guided by the field of research and vice versa. Both are informing each other.
Additional skills:
I have a strong eye for detail, an innate tactile quality for materials, a broad knowledge of making processes and great concept development skills.
