About me
Jody K Jenkinsstudied percussion and composition at the Royal Academy of Music, during which he was awarded the Eric Coates Prize, the Thomas Award, the BMI Bursary, the Andrew Sykes Award, the Principals award and the Silver Prize at the London Symphony Orchestra Shell Scholarship. During his time at the Academy, Jody's focus started to change from performance to composition and he now divides his time between writing, performing and producing.Jody has worked on countless film scores in a variety of roles, including percussion programmer for Dario Marianelli, on films including V for Vendetta and Atonement. Last year saw Jody working alongside Harry Gregson-Williams on the score for Disney's Narnia - Prince Caspian. Jody recently completed his first large feature-film score in the roll of composer for Indian film Aladin.
As a composer for television, Jody has established ongoing relationships with several production houses where his work has included 'Secrets of the Sexes' for BBC Science and the score to the BBC/Tiger Aspect production 'The Convent'. In the field of animation, Jody provided a contemporary electronic soundtrack for political animation What Barry Says, followed by more orchestral scores for Channel 4 short 'Forest Clearing' and Griffilms/S4C's Gelert.
Jody has also composed music for many international advertising campaigns, including projects for BRITISH GAS, McDONALDS, SAMSUNG and the award-winning campaign for BMW's C1 bike.
