About me

I am currently engaged as a freelance prop maker. I have just finished ‘Cinderella’ at Norwich Theatre Royal where I was ASM, back half of the pantomime horse (!) and made all the props.

2019 commissions included creating the Giant puppet for Gorleston’s Pantomime, Rats and other mad things for Sheringham Little Theatre’s ‘Dick Whittington’ various props for Norwich Arts Centre and props for Stage Two at Norwich Theatre Royal.

Christmas 2018/19 saw me as ASM/ prop maker on “Aladdin” at Norwich Theatre Royal.

Prior to this I was ASM on ‘Sketching’ at Wilton’s Music Hall, London.

Over the summer of 2018, I worked on a wide range of productions ranging from Stage Manager on the ‘Norwich Medievel Mystery Plays and Norwich Castle and Norwich Cathedral, making props for an immersive event at Greenham Common and followspotting for 5 weeks on ‘Miss Saigon’.

In March of 2018, I joined the stage management team on The Grinning Man at Trafalgar Studios.

Christmas 2017/18 was spent at the wonderful Norwich Theatre Royal as Swing ASM / Book Cover on Sleeping Beauty.

From March I worked on the revival of Alice's Adventures Underground at The Vaults in Waterloo.

As of November 2016, I returned to a life of Freelance Stage Management! I am available for prop making, please see my website www.makemeaprop.online for examples of my work.

Until the end of October 2016, I was the Resident Stage Manager at The Maddermarket Theatre in Norwich. We produced 12 in house shows a year with addition outside productions coming in.

Christmas 2015 saw me appear on stage as 'Greta the Goat' in Norwich Theatre Royal's production of 'Snow White', as well as being Assustant Stage Manager.

In 2015, I worked on the Olivier Award nominated Les Enfant Terribles and Emma Brunjes Productions "Alices's Adventures Underground' at The VauIts, Waterloo.

Christmas 2014/15 saw me return to Norwich Theatre Royal as ASM and performing as Nana the Dog and enjoyed the combined role of stage management and performance.

I have worked on Secret Cinema's Project Rumpus as DSM and was engaged on their 2014 project, "Back to the Future' as Stage Manager.

In December 2013 and January 2014, I worked on 'Cinderella' at Norwich Theatre Royal. As well as ASM, I made or sourced the props. I also appeared in several non speaking roles in the production, one which involved puppetry skills.

I finished working on Punchdrunk's 'The Drowned Man' in September 2013. A hugely impressive piece of immersive theatre, I was ASM all through the rehearsal process in April 2013 up to the end of my contract in September 2013. It was a massive show to be a part of and I'm extremely proud of what we achieved.

For Christmas 2012/13 I was ASM and performed as Carmel the Camel for the Theatre Royal Norwich in their production of 'Aladdin'. In 2012 I was engaged as ASM/performer flying operator on 'The Lion, the Witch and the Wardobe', which played in the purpose built tent in Kensington Gardens. I also did the get out of the props and costumes from the Doctor Who Experience at Kensington Olympia prior to the move to Cardiff. Before that, I was ASM on Sleeping Beauty at Norwich Theatre Royal. 2011 included a wide range of jobs, including setting up the Doctor Who Experience at Olympia and being part of the Norfolk and Norwicg Festival working on Dining with Alice. The second half of 2010 was taken up with 'Flashdance the Musical' at The Shaftesbury Theatre, London, where I was Tech ASM.

I have also worked freelance for 2entertain producing their range of classic 'Doctor Who' DVD releases in association with the BBC.
