Leon Mayne is an award-winning writer/producer and editor. Known for his unique themes, natural dialogue and three-dimensional characters/storytelling, he has brought relatability to a variety of screens. His work, especially in providing richly detailed characters has earned him a feature in Powerful Media’s 2015 edition of Britain’s most influential people of African and African Caribbean Heritage and BBC’s 2017 New Talent Hotlist.He is Co-Founder and Creative Director of the BWNG Production & Distribution group (BWNG Ltd), a collective dedicated to showcasing the culturally diverse range of talent and narratives in modern day Britain. His productions are currently broadcast on TV & SVOD platforms in over 60 territories worldwide as well as 1.5m+ views of short form projects on the BWNG (brotherswithnogame) personal Youtube channel.
Digital and TV series he has written and/or produced include multi award winning Brothers With No Game (London Live, TRACE, Canal Plus), The Colour Brown (Channel 4 Script commission), Binge Watching (BBC & BFI) How Did We Get Here? (Econet, W60), A Day In The Life Of Daddy (Raindance) and So He Says (Econet) as well as pilots for production company Hoot Comedy.
