About me
A researcher-writer with a background in television production, gained mainly in South Africa but also in the UK, I am a good all-rounder. My archive and programme research skills are second to none, I am able to build rapport quickly with most experts and potential interviewees and have excellent general knowledge. Organised,I have also done my share of production/event management and co-ordination, so am able to pitch in on the operational side when necessary.
Since beginning my career in TV production, I have also had occasional opportunities to produce my own stuff, making a corporate video for a well-known South African motivational speaker, directing a live outside broadcast for a Greek Community Radio station and directing and editing an episode of an award-winning teen educational series on the effects of the media on teen self image whilst working for Penguin Films.
My main areas of interest are: health and wellbeing, geopolitics, current affairs, biography and in-depth documentaries, history (esp. ancient history and history of religion) esotericism (esp. astrology), as well as popular culture (esp. film, art and literature).
