Additional information:
During my time at AUB I specialised in costume for screen and worked on many live film projects collaborating with the Film Production course at AUB. From this I have learnt how to work within film and have experience designing, supervising and working on set on collaborative projects. Working on these projects has developed my communication, organisation and leadership skills. I also developed skills within breaking down, altering, and textiles giving me confidence in creating costumes for shoots. My work culminated in a first class degree as well as being awarded the Nicholas Durbridge Award for collaboration for my major project film ‘Litter Bugg’. I also enjoy translating my skills into other departments within film, for example working as 1st Assistant Director for the short film Glass Slipper which won ad of the week from website The Drum as well as being featured in the Daily Mail.
Alongside my university projects I sought out valuable work experience within the industry to support my professional development. This includes working on BBC productions such as Father Brown and WPC56 as well as working for Marv Films and other smaller production companies. These projects dealt with subject matter ranging from 1920s gypsies, 1950s police to 1980s Winter Olympians, broadening my knowledge of fashion history. From these experiences I gained valuable practice in dressing large crowds as well as principle actors, doing fittings and prepping line ups. I have experience working with actors ranging in age from young children to elderly, with extensive practice as a costume stand-by on set dealing with continuity. I am confident with sourcing and have sourced from Angels, the Costumiers as well as performing returns to Angels and other companies.
