Location Manager
The Zombie King
Nov 2011- Dec 2011
Working on this interesting project was a very demanding experience but one that has substantially improved my ability to think on my feet and use my own initiative to ensure everything ran smoothly.
Location Assistant
Florence and the Machine Music Video
September 2011
I particularly enjoyed this experience as music videos and music in general are a real passion of mine, so being able to combine my love for film with music was very exciting.
Location Manager
Drink - short film, London.
October 2001
Working on this short film gave me the opportunity to work in an unfamiliar environment. I had not worked in London before but doing so allowed me to really make the most of the skills I had gained previously and this meant I could have significant input towards the film production.
Location Assistant
Skins, Season 6 - Episodes 4 & 5, Bristol
August 2011 - September 2011
This job has supplied me with some extremely beneficial experience. I was directly involved with the production and it gave me the opportunity to understand how a professional production company operates. It has helped developed my organisation skills as well as broadening my knowledge of film location duties.
Location Co-ordinator
Sarah Eastel Locations, High Street, Bathford
July 2011 - August 2011
I was awarded the opportunity to work directly under the mentorship of Sarah Eastel at Sarah Eastel Locations. For the past month I have been learning about the importance of locations within film, TV and photographic projects. From day one I began responding to location briefs, negotiating their hire and considering what makes a location workable. I have learned it’s an incredibly fast moving environment that requires the marrying together of the needs of the location buyer with the concerns of the property owner. Additional skills have been gained in the area of negotiation and of course the inevitable paperwork that needs to be put in place for the benefit of the broadcaster, Each day is varied and full of numerous deadlines which I have found exciting. I believe the experience I have gained from working at Sarah Eastel Locations has been extremely valuable to me, enabling a crucial insight to working within a very competitive industry.
