About me

As a competent audio engineer, I specialise in recording, post-production and sound design. I have four years experience working as a freelancer on a wide range of projects for VR, Advertising, Films and Music. I’ve worked on projects for companies such as Visualise, Unit 9, M&CSaatchi and University of West London; working alongside brands such as British Army, BBC, Discovery Channel, Peroni, Ray Ban, Oakley, JCDecaux, DNA, London College of Music, Young Enterprise, Claud Littner Business School, Inter Continental, Samsung, Ministry of Sound and Google, as well as many other indie projects for short films, music and small fashion brands. I have an extensive network of freelancers that specialise in different areas of the audio and visual industry which, if required, enables me to organise the perfect team for the job and deliver bigger projects efficiently and on time. I worked with Oliver Kadel on recording original music for two short films (before 1.618 was founded). Oliver is now one of the founders of 1.618. I felt comfortable working with him as he took my projects seriously. We recorded both instruments one-by-one and also a string quartet live - both for films. The mixing and editing stage was done very well too, and now I can proudly show people what I've done. Working with such a hard working sound engineer makes me want to carry on writing music and film music for actual instrumentalists rather than typing it all into a software and pressing export/bounce.

Oliver worked for us at the Greenwich Food Fest '14, looking after our stage and our ten diverse performers. I didn't have to worry about the music at any point during the event, as Oliver had it under control from start to finish, and executed the sound beautifully. He even recorded the whole day for us! My main specialities are audio recording and post-production. I have extensive experience working with surround, ambisonic and binaural formats for virtual reality, interactive experiences and sensory branding where immersive audio is key. I’ve worked on a number of sound to picture projects during which, as part of the team, we’ve fully developed a creative brief, designed sound, produced and scored complete soundtracks that reflect key client requests, worked on aspects of audio branding, and also offered full integration to all required digital media formats.
