About me
Following eight years working at the coal face of film with the cream of cinema on such pictures as Sleepy Hollow, Enigma and two of the biggest box-office franchises: Star Wars and Harry Potter, I dove headlong into the world of writing.Starting with screenplays, I was fortunate enough to garner interest from various high-profile luminaries including Chris (Home Alone, Harry Potter) Columbus and Michael (The World Is Not Enough, Gorillas In The Mist) Apted.
Then I diversified into corporate and non-fiction novel writing. For the former I created characters for major product launches for the likes of Procter & Gamble and Wrigley and wrote creative pitches for the MoD. I have also written around seven non-fiction books published worldwide on a variety of subjects ranging from execution to maritime humour, from scientific experiments to hostage negotiations.
These days my main role is as a script consultant. I have been helping both aspiring and established industry writers for over a decade now, focusing on ensuring their work reaches a submission-ready standard while also helping them hone their craft.
A large number of my clients have won or placed highly at major script competitions, had their projects optioned, while others have gone on to be produced, the best debuted at such film festivals as Cannes and London. I also read - in an unofficial capacity - for select companies on both sides of the Atlantic, passing on what I consider suitable fits.
I am happy to talk with anyone who is serious about their craft, who wishes to improve their work and hone their screenwriting technique.
