About me
I finished working as a Wardrobe Assistant on School of Rock The Musical in the West End when the show closed in March, prior to lockdown. I have worked for various Theatres in London including The National Theatre and The Young Vic Theatre as a Wardrobe Assistant/Dresser. I have also worked on two UK tours; Jeeves and Wooster and Hairspray as a Wardrobe Assistant. I have experience of dressing on large West End shows such as Dreamgirls and Warhorse where I have dressed male and female ensemble as well as principals.I am hard working and love a challenge. I am used to working on fast paced shows which require strong team work and thinking on your feet. I work well as part of a team and also independently depending on the task required. I have great communication skills and work hard to build a strong and supportive working relationship with all members of the department. As a Wardrobe Assistant I would on occasion lead meetings with the team and discuss various changes that were taking place within the work environment. I have always been extremely flexible in my approach to work and am open to working any day of the week and shifts if necessary.
I am able to sew on industrial and domestic machines and by hand. I can sew under pressure when there are time constraints. I am very much a team player and am happy helping out wherever necessary. I am experienced with setting shows up, having been involved with many technical rehearsals. Creating my own dressing plots as well as helping dressers with their own. I’m a very organised, driven and personable individual who thrives on new challenges.
