About me

I'm a Italian writer and director based in London, alumni of the National Film and Television School. Previously, I graduated with a 1st Class Honours degree in Modern Literature from the University of Milan.

I started my career in theatre, writing and directing award-winning plays for some of Italy's most prestigious venues, including “Orphans” (Teatro Elfo Puccini of Milan), “Interviews With Hideous Men” (Teatro Stabile delle Marche), “De Falco’s Wedding” (Teatro Stabile di Napoli).

My UK short films “How I Didn’t Become A Piano Player” and “All The Pain In The World” have played at more than 100 international film festivals and won many awards, including the Royal Television Society Award for Best Postgraduate Drama, the Premier Award at the British Universities Film & Video Council Awards, the Audience Award at Aspen Shortsfest, Best Comedy at Aesthetica Short Film Festival and Best Director at Rhode Island International Film Festival.

I'm an alumni of the Berlinale Talents Campus and a member of the Italian Directors’ Guild. I work in commercials between Italy and the UK. I am represented as a writer-director by Sayle Screen.

After graduating in Modern Literature at the University of Milan and in Theatre Directing at the Paolo Grassi School of Dramatic Arts, I started to work as a theatre director in Italy, writing and directing plays for some of the country’s most prestigious theatre venues.

Among them, “DOMENICO SCANDELLA - THE INQUISITION TRIALS”, “INTERVIEWS WITH HIDEOUS MEN” – winner of the national competition Nuove Sensibilità – and “DE FALCO’S WEDDING”, project winner of the Girulà Award for Best Playwriting.

In 2010 I directed my first short film, "Already Tomorrow”, which allowed me to enroll the National Film and Television School, where I recently graduated.

My short films have played at numerous international film festivals, among which Edinburgh, Austin, Palm Springs, Encounters, 
Moscow and many others.

Among the other recognitions “HOW I DIDN’T BECOME A PIANO PLAYER” won the Royal Television Society Award for Best Postgraduate Drama, the Premier Award at the British Universities Film & Video Council Awards, the Audience Award at Aspen Shortsfest and the Critics Award at the Genova Film Festival (National Union of Critics). “ALL THE PAIN IN THE WORLD” recently won the Best Actor Award at Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia.

Alumni of the Berlinale Talents Campus 2005, I work between UK and Italy. My passion is telling stories through music and images, ranging from theatre, films and commercials.
