Lydia has a very strong & projective singing voice and a very sweet & clear talking voice (RP). She can do a very good American accent and a good cockney accent. She has excellent dance ability, great expression and acting skills with super comedic timing, but can also play emotive roles very effectively. Just a selection of her roles to date have included a scary 17th century Puritan ghost, a victim of child abuse, Gretl Von trap, a zombie child and Molly in Annie - so quite a mix!
Lydia's lower singing range is A below middle C & upper range is easily hitting top C (Soprano). Lydia is has recently passed her Grade 5 IDTA ballet with 93% distinction and is currently working towards intermediate ballet, grade 4 tap & Grade 4 modern. She also trains in commercial, Hip-Hop, Jazz, contemporary lyrical dance and singing.
"Lydia has a certain spark" Bill Deamer (Top West End Chorographer).
"Lydia was certainly the star of the day" Chris Saville (Director) ITV
"Lydia is awesome - she grasped everything so quickly, she was really sensible and pro-active which is laudable. I'm really glad that I cast Lydia for the role of Bea, she has done a great job"
Kumara Raja - Director of Dee Gal
"Lydia is just so great, she is so professional and just ‘gets it’, and takes it all in her stride. I have been so impressed."
Angharad Walter - Principle of Stagecoach Cambridge
"Lydia is fabulous and I love having her in the cast."
Sarah Ingram director of James and the giant peach (Cambridge)
“I watched this sweet girl walk into the audition room and sing like an angel. I then watched her read from the seance scene and suddenly I had this menacing, devil-child in front of me. I knew then she was perfect for the role of Jemima - the girl in the glass!”
Sean Lang - author and playwright
Lydia is a very versatile and strong all rounder who acts, sings and dances to a very high standard. She is very suitable for, and has experience of, TV, film, stills shoots and musical theatre.
Lydia has professional, paid experience in both stage and film. She is brilliant at realistically portraying emotions without being over the top and takes direction very well by listening carefully. She learns lines very quickly and can also cope with last minute script changes. She is very reliable.
