1066 Productions is a young film production company whose core objective is simple: to create pure, jaw-dropping entertainment. The company was founded in 1998 and is now looking to consolidate its reputation for packaging commercial features as well as developing in-house projects. The company commenced life as a theatre production company; the artistic force behind the Royal George Theatre in south east London and responsible for a host of well-received productions including The Master Builder, Not About Heroes, The Perfect Murder, Red Roses and Petrol, Edward the Second, Twelfth Night, The Importance of Being Earnest, The Maintenance Man, Forward to the Right, The Problem, Salome, The Golden Pathway Annual, Play it Again Sam, Rude Food Frankenstein, She Stoops to Conquer, Chokey, All for Love and Brimstone and Treacle.
It was a natural evolution that saw the company progress into film production and 2004 witnessed the company form links with Canadian production company Quiet Revolution Pictures Inc with whom the company is developing a burgeoning production slate to link in with its growing ambitions in the film market.
