ABSOLUTE THEATRE was formed in 1991 with the intention of staging neglected texts, significant new writing and devised pieces. The company has developed an innovative, highly visual, providing audiences with a sensorial, emotional and intellectual experience not available through any other medium.

During the past ten years the company has won both critical acclaim and a loyal and growing audience for a series of unique productions which have been accessible to all ages and backgrounds. ABSOLUTE productions typically break box office records at the venues played and are frequently selected as 'critic's choice' in various publications.

The company has twice been invited to represent the best of British theatre abroad. ABSOLUTE THEATRE has often been associated with dynamic renditions of rarely performed European and British texts, often presenting the "unstageable".
