Accidental Theatre was formed in May 2008 by three friends who met whilst studying Drama at Queen’s University Belfast. Wanting to have the freedom to create unique work, they came together and formed a company with the desire to experiment and learn from established forms of theatre. With the desire of growing beyond them by creating a philosophy of innovation within the company and embracing new ideas, scripts, styles and techniques.
As the company grows we are looking into new artistic disciplines that can inform and inspire our current and future work. Over the next few years we will continue to develop as a company, and as individual artists, through creating work that is not in isolation from other art forms but that engages, questions, argues and combines with them.
