Agtel was set-up in 1979 and it now represents the corporate communications division of the Agtel Group. The Agtel Group also comprises Independent Pictures, one of Ireland’s leading television production companies. Both Agtel and Independent Pictures operate from the same headquarters in the centre of Dublin.

The Agtel Group is headed-up by Managing Director, John Cummins and Company Director, Liam Lavelle both of whom are well-known and respected figures within the television and audiovisual production sectors in Ireland.

Agtel has a proven track record in the development and production of audiovisual and ICT-based communication, learning and knowledge resources. The company was originally set-up to produce educational videos and has grown and extended over the years to embrace new technologies and communications thinking.

Agtel now works across a multi-disciplinary range of internal, external and strategic communication projects in addition to elearning and knowledge management solutions. Agtel also operates a specialist unit that focuses on the role of information and communication in an international development context.
