Aloff is an emerging theatre company dedicated to the promotion of new and classic works from the East Europe and Central Asia.

Founded in 2010, Aloff’s aim is to produce and tour diverse, innovative and vibrant productions of plays from the established and emerging independent repertoires of core countries such as Azerbaijan. This creates an intercultural theatre-making platform for a vibrant range of contemporary dramas, comedies and adaptations of classical narratives.

Based in London, Aloff is currently focusing on the interchange of dramatic resources between Azerbaijan and the UK, and the opportunity to discover each other’s theatremaking worlds. A key feature of the Aloff ethos is exploring different genres to stage different works, such as turning novels into musicals or one thousand-year-old tales into an opulent multi-media site-specific show.

Aloff actively brings together its members from all around the world, creating an energetic environment for sharing different points of view and theatrical techniques, which also means that seeking partners overseas to take productions to other countries is a similarly strong part of Aloff’s groundbreaking agenda.
