ASDA is a supermarket chain founded in 1949 & headquartered in Leeds, Yorkshire. It was purchased by the US company Walmart in 1999 and listed on the London Stock Exchange. It is the second largest supermarket chain in the UK, behind Tesco and ahead of Sainsbury's.
