Backhand Theatre is a collaborative Theatre Company that was founded in early 2010 by Jake Linzey and Nicola Buys. Jake and Nicola both have a passion for theatre and decided to make 2010 the year they create their own. They decided to bring together their passion for visual theatre and create their first season of new writing for the Edinburgh Fringe.
The style of theatre you can expect to see from Backhand over the coming months is likely to incorporate puppetry and clowning techniques with more conventional forms of storytelling and performance. They hope to make these esoteric forms more accessible to a wider audience and utilise them to push forwards, developing new styles and techniques.
