Our work is magical in its minimalist style, often blending a handful of props with a playful, physical style of performance.
We largely work in places where people won't traditionally participate in the arts. Over the years this has enabled us to celebrate theatre in its broadest sense, placing equal value on the small stories which emerge out of a chair dance with 70 year olds through to large scale production projects.
Dance, visual art, mixed medias and music all have an influence on our work. No two projects are ever the same because we believe our role is to unravel the creativity of everyone involved, participant or professional to make art authentically.
With this in mind, over the years we have been able to grow our work from delivering small after school clubs to initiating large community youth theatre projects, devising intergenerational performance work with over 100 people, working in museums, running oral history projects reaching over 500 people, touring production work to schools and recently creating production work in a children's hospice.
Each year over 5000 people between 4-100 years old become part of Bounce.
