Century is known for pioneering the documentary musical, initially with the Royal Television Society award-winning Drinking for England, then the BAFTA-winning Feltham Sings and most recently the highly acclaimed Songbirds.

We’ve recently moved into producing drama with the double BAFTA-winning Falling Apart, and the BAFTA nominated Bella and the Boys for BBC2. We’ve recently made our first dramas for More4, a series of hard hitting dramatic monologues,
The True Voice of...

We’ve produced critically acclaimed films for ground-breaking strands such as the BBC’s Modern Times (Saturday Night, Drinking for England), Channel 4’s Cutting Edge (Shot, Men at Fifty), Only Human (Make Me Normal), Alt-TV (Namesakes, 24 Hours, A Dad for Aina) and ITV's Real Life (Burglars, The Fattest Men in Britain).

Century also likes to encourage new and emerging film-makers. We have produced Banged-Up Stand-Up for BBC, Namesakes: A Very British Odyssey and two sets of 3 Minute Wonders for Channel 4, all with first time directors.

With Nobody Someday, the exclusive Robbie Williams documentary and More Precious Than Gold, a moving campaign film for UNICEF, we’ve introduced our work to cinema audiences.

Our feature-length documentaries Care House, Rudegirls and Taxidermy: Stuff The World were enthusiastically received by BBC audiences. Rudegirls premiered at the Sheffield International Documentary Festival 2003 to great acclaim and much discussion.

We’ve continually achieved recognition and acclaim from audiences and critics. We’ve also collected a large number of awards and nominations from BAFTA, The Royal Television Society, Ivor Novello, and the Grierson Trust. Our latest documentary musical, Songbirds, has been selected at festivals all over the world, including Sundance, Hot Docs and Docaviv.
