Century also likes to encourage new and emerging film-makers. We have produced Banged-Up Stand-Up for BBC, Namesakes: A Very British Odyssey and two sets of 3 Minute Wonders for Channel 4, all with first time directors.
With Nobody Someday, the exclusive Robbie Williams documentary and More Precious Than Gold, a moving campaign film for UNICEF, we’ve introduced our work to cinema audiences.
Our feature-length documentaries Care House, Rudegirls and Taxidermy: Stuff The World were enthusiastically received by BBC audiences. Rudegirls premiered at the Sheffield International Documentary Festival 2003 to great acclaim and much discussion.
We’ve continually achieved recognition and acclaim from audiences and critics. We’ve also collected a large number of awards and nominations from BAFTA, The Royal Television Society, Ivor Novello, and the Grierson Trust. Our latest documentary musical, Songbirds, has been selected at festivals all over the world, including Sundance, Hot Docs and Docaviv.
