Chantry Dance is a UK Contemporary Ballet company producing touring and commissioned work. The company has a particular flair and expertise in narrative work, and has produced original story-ballets, as well as re-imagined versions of popular tales which are given a 'Chantry' twist.

Chantry Dance's mission is to explore how dance can operate as a liberating art-form, bringing freedom of expression, mind and emotion to performers, participants and audience. The company's work shows that contemporary ballet is exciting, interesting, and can have a meaningful, positive impact on life. It can make you laugh, it can make you cry, it can give you hope and can even change lives. Chantry's work bears witness to the world, showing all the joys, passions, pains, and sorrows of humankind, and explores the endlessness of the human imagination.

Chantry Dance was formed in May 2012 and is led by co-Artistic Directors Paul Chantry and Rae Piper who, as well as their Contemporary choreography, are known for their work on Operas, Musicals, Plays, Circus, TV, Film and Theatre including the Olivier-nominated West End production of David Walliams' 'Gangsta Granny',
