Coastal Productions was created in 1997 by Sandra Jobling and Robson Green with the aim of making feature films and TV dramas in the North East of England – and supporting local young people who want to get into the industry.

Since its early days, when Robson was starring in Soldier Soldier, it has grown into a strong independent company, with production and co-production credits including Take Me, Blind Ambition, The Last Musketeer, Touching Evil series 3, Close and True, Grafters 1 & 2, Rhinoceros, Hereafter, Unconditional Love, Beaten, Rocketman and Wire in the Blood.
