Cruel Theatre is a critically acclaimed performance group and registered charity dedicated to producing plays dealing with relevant, contemporary socio-political issues staged with high artistic standards and integrity. Deeply inspired by the work of Augusto Boal and the writings of Antonin Artaud, Cruel Theatre productions are either scripted plays intended for intimate, fringe settings inspired by Artaud or one-actor-one-audience member interactive Environmental plays dealing with socio-political topics inspired by Boal.
