EON Productions is a British production company founded in 1961 when its first film 'Dr. No' was released. The company is headquartered in Piccadilly (London) and many of the projects shoot at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire.

The company is known for the James Bond 007 film series, it is a subsidiary of Danjaq LLC which holds the copyright and trademarks to the Bond characters and elements on screen.

EON has only made 3x non-Bond films since it opened its doors:

  • Call Me Bwana

  • Film Stars Don't Die in Liverpool

  • The Rhythm Section

It is not the only production company to make 007 films, with both 'Casino Royale' & 'Never Say Never Again' seeing cinema releases with no involvement from EON. Since these films the relevant licences have been acquired making EON the only company able to produce James Bond movies.
