Farnes Productions was set up by writer, Dick Curran, to support production of his play ‘Islanders’ at Manchester’s 24:7 Festival in 2010.

‘Islanders’ won the Manchester Evening News Best Fringe Production and, with the assistance of Arts Council funding, an eleven date short tour was arranged for Spring 2011.

A second play, ‘It Works For Us’, was selected for Liverpool’s Write Now Festival in April 2011, with the intention of following the same development model as ‘Islanders’. It was given the Best Play and Best Actor prizes in the festival awards.

A third play, ‘Keep It Simple’ has been chosen for the 2011 Manchester 24:7 Festival, and is in development.
