Fasten Your Seatbelts is a local amateur theatre company formed with the aim of producing great community theatre - fast.
Something that makes Fasten Your Seatbelts a little different from many local companies is our rehearsal period. We begin with a single full music call followed by initial blocking rehearsals (a few evenings to get everything done at least once), the cast then go away to learn lines, music and build their characters.
We don’t see each other again until two or three weeks before the show. We then rehearse during weekday evenings and a couple of Sundays (a HUGE commitment for the cast). Rehearsing this way focuses the mind and allows performances to develop with visible results each day. We believe this allows us to bring you the best possible experience of musical theatre.
We also stage a yearly 24hr Musical.
