Our company is based on the belief that women should have the opportunity to be at the forefront of theatre, playing leading roles and creating a platform for women to excel in this industry.

We formed Fortress when we realised there was a significant lack of plays with women as the predominant and leading characters. With more and more actresses competing for fewer roles and a gap for an innovative and orginal theatre company, we knew that it was time for us to stand up and take action!

Having now successfully produced 4 original female led plays, the last one, Stiff Acrylic, being a sell out we are now embarking on our next project. We work with like minded creative creatures to produce optimum plays and are constantly working to produce new, exciting and dramatic productions for the public to enjoy.
