Founded in 2007, HighTide Festival Theatre is a not-for-profit theatre company that produces leading-standard contemporary new writing theatre for audiences in the East of England, nationally, and internationally. Our productions premiere in the annual HighTide Festival Season in Suffolk, and we collaborate with regional partners including the Aldeburgh Music, Dance East and the Latitude Festival to produce work. HighTide's work has transferred nationally and internationally, including to London with the Bush Theatre (2008), National Theatre (2009), Old Vic Theatre (2010), the West End (2011), to the Edinburgh Festival (2010) and internationally to the Australian National Play Festival (2010). We develop emerging playwrights and directors year-round through our Warehouse, which includes the Genesis Laboratory in London and the Escalator Laboratory spanning the eastern region.
